From White Paints to White Sofas: Family Friendly Solutions – Part 2

Hi everyone! This past month, I shared my favorite white sofa’s and sectionals that can stand up to busy families, which you can read here. But today, I am sharing my go-to white paints! Save this post for your next home renovation!

Should I Consider White Paint For My Walls?

The quickest way to freshen up your home is to add and expose more natural light. By painting your walls white, you instantly brighten up a room, make it feel larger, and allow the eye to settle on other items in your home.

Some may feel white paint is boring, but in reality, it allows you to highlight furniture, decor, lighting and so much more! We use alternative paint colors on walls when we want it to be the focus, especially if we are applying a wall treatment feature, or a matching custom cabinetry piece.

There are multitudes of white paints to choose from, and depending on the location of your room, the natural light may make the paint look cool or warm depending on the time of the day. We recommend using the below white paint colors to get that designer look, but be sure to test it first! We love using Sampilize for easy, real samples – without the mess!

I always recommend starting with Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore. It is a crisp, clear white with no warm or cool undertones, so it truly serves as a middle ground for all other white paints.

Personally, I used White Dove by Benjamin Moore in our home and I am truly obsessed! It is a calm, warm white and the way the paint reflects the natural light feels so soothing and peaceful to me. I believe every paint color evokes a feeling, and calming was what I was going for.
