The vintage trend in home decor is still going strong. This trend calls for a dusty color palette, antique brass finishes, velvet fabrics, handmade tiles and texture everywhere – perfect for Autumn! The old world style is slowly blending with the minimalist bohemian look, and we are seeing rounded edges, chunky furniture and legs, boucle fabrics, with less pattern and more texture and tones layered on top of each other.
Just like we presumed, darker stained and reclaimed wood tones are back in style! Though white oak will always be popular, a stained walnut provides a high contrast against brass finishes and pretty zellige tiles.
Picking up from last Fall, Pampas Grass is still having a huge moment. If stored carefully, you can keep yours preserved throughout the seasons. I purchased mine at Anthropologie last year and I love the warmth it brings, but more importantly, the height these branches bring to any vase makes a dramatic statement. Pampas Grass is versatile but if you are looking for something a bit smaller, try Phalaris or Lagurus, linked below.
Our florals carry Burgundy, Rust, & Crimson hues. After a long Summer of greenery and bright colors, we welcome this dark, moody palette. Even as your florals dry up, they are pretty this time of year! We love drying autumn-colored hydrangeas and adding branches to the vase for a low-upkeep pop of color.
Carrying on with the vintage theme, we are seeing a love of old-age pottery like large vessels and jars, typically crafted in dark colors. The below vases are perfect to hold those Fall florals!
Satin Brass is a muted, brushed gold coloring that is showing up in a lot of tapered candle holders – perfect for your Thanksgiving table decor! We also love black candle holders for a moody look that can transition from Halloween to Winter.
Cashmere will always be a Fall & Winter staple, and the below cashmere throw pillows are a MUST for this season! Could you find anything cozier?!
